J1 Internship & Training

Intern - currently a full-time student and have completed at least 2 semesters at a post-secondary academic institution, OR be a recent graduate able to start an internship program within 12 months of graduation date; all obtained outside of the USA.

Trainee - Have a degree or professional certificate from a post-secondary academic institution AND at least one year of work experience related to field of study, OR have five years of work experience related to field of study; all obtained outside of the USA.

Note : Students must have a Degree in hotel Management Or must have 5 years experience in culinary , Front office or Food & beverage service to be eligible.

Average stipend ranges from $9 to $12 per hour.

For Hospitality and Tourism its 6-12 months only, Other Sectors  its between  12-18 months.

No. J1 visa is neither extendable nor transferable.  

 A host company is the U.S. company or organization where you will be training and receiving supervision during your internship or training program. The host company is different from your visa sponsor.

 YES, this is a paid internship / training opportunity and the applicants will be entitled to a stipend on hourly basis. 

As per the rules of J1 program, applicants will be working minimum of 32 to 40 hours per week. 

As per the business requirements, applicants may be working overtime. Beyond 40 hours per week is considered as overtime and the rate of per is 1.5 times of hourly stipend.
